Celebrating the constant evolution of communication, the main goal of World Telecommunications Day (WTISD) is to highlight the importance of communication and how information travels across the world.
It also aims to increase awareness of how crucial communication is in our lives, and stimulate the development of technologies in the field while achieving sustainable development goals.
In line with the International Telecommunications Union’s (ITU) work to unlock the potential of ICTs for young innovators, entrepreneurs, innovative SMEs, start-ups and technology hubs as drivers of innovative and practical solutions, this year’s theme will focus on: “ICT entrepreneurship for social impact”.
